Mentored by Oxbridge Mathematics Graduates
Bridging the gap between raw potential and academic mastery. Our mentors are more than tutors—they are architects of mathematical logic, hailing from the world's most prestigious collegiate halls.

The Mentor Cohort
“Mathematics is not just about calculation; it is a philosophy of thought. Our mentors are selected for their ability to articulate this philosophy to the next generation.”
At Oxbridge Maths Tutors, every mentor is a graduate or current researcher from Oxford or Cambridge. They bring a unique blend of intellectual rigour and pedagogical empathy, ensuring that complex theorems become intuitive principles. We maintain a strict selection process, accepting fewer than 5% of applicants.
Rigorous Vetting. Total Peace of Mind.
Academic brilliance is only half the equation. We take safeguarding exceptionally seriously. Every single mentor in our team is subjected to a comprehensive vetting protocol before they ever step into our digital classrooms.
Enhanced DBS Checked
Mandatory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are conducted on 100% of our mentors, guaranteeing a safe, professional learning environment.
Degree Verification
We independently verify every academic credential, degree classification, and college affiliation directly with the Oxford and Cambridge university systems.
Character & Empathy
Beyond mathematical prowess, mentors endure rigorous interviews designed to assess their character, patience, and professional integrity.
Building Communicators,
Not Just Calculators
Being historically exceptional at mathematics does not make someone an exceptional teacher.
Oxford and Cambridge are defined by the tutorial system: intimate 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 sessions where students must orally defend their mathematical proofs against world-leading professors.
This rigorous environment forces our graduates to master the art of explaining complex logic with total clarity. We guarantee they have this skill because they all have years of experience tutoring, and go through a strict vetting process before being hired to rigorously assess them for these exact communicative traits.
Historic Spotlight
“The Socratic method has defined Oxbridge pedagogy for centuries. It is not about simply finding the right answer, but methodically breaking down the architecture of thought itself. Our mentors are trained to unravel how you think.”

Mentorship: Patient, structured sessions tailored to each student's pace and goals. Guided a student through the full Oxford Maths admissions process — from MAT prep and mock interviews through to an offer at Exeter College, Oxford.

Dimitrios Tsanakas
Mathematics, University of Oxford
Logic: Two years' experience across primary admissions, GCSE, and A-Level — familiar with all major exam boards. Achieved 4 A*s at A-Level (including Further Maths) and 11 grade 9s at GCSE.
Mentorship: Adapts every session to your child's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Builds real understanding by asking students to explain each step aloud — strengthening both their maths and their communication skills.

Josh Alburquerque
Maths & Statistics, University of Oxford

Parent of A-Level StudentOur Matching Process
The relationship between mentor and mentee is the foundation of intellectual growth. We use a precise evaluation methodology to ensure unconditional compatibility.
Initial Consultation
Discussing the student's current situation, performance, school reports, learning style and habits, and goals to create a specific plan and directive.
Bespoke Mentor Selection
We hand-select a mentor whose logic and style complement the student's unique profile, who can fit your timetable, and who has experience in your goal (as this applies to admissions or going beyond the syllabus).
Risk-Free Trial Session
The student undertakes a full trial session. You only proceed and pay once you are completely happy with the fit. If not, another match is made risk-free.
We absorb the risk.
We are absolutely confident in our bespoke matching methodology. You do not pay a single penny until you find a tutor you are completely happy working with.
